What we look at in a Website Snapshot — and what we don’t

A short, honest review of your public website across five points. Here’s exactly what it covers.

The Website Snapshot is our free, no-obligation starting point. It’s deliberately small: five observations about your public website, each one based on something anyone can see. Here’s what it covers, and just as importantly, what it doesn’t.

The five points

  • Service and value clarity — can a visitor quickly tell what you do, who it’s for and why to keep reading?
  • Trust and credibility — is real, attributable proof easy to find when someone is comparing options?
  • Mobile usability — is the page readable and navigable on a phone, and are the key actions easy to tap?
  • Primary next step — is it obvious what to do next, and can a visitor get there without hunting?
  • Contact and form friction — does the contact path explain what happens next, or add steps it doesn’t need?

How each observation is written

Every point follows the same shape: what we saw, why it may matter to a visitor, and what might be worth discussing. We write “may” on purpose. From the outside we can see the experience your website creates — not your enquiry numbers, and not how your team handles the calls.

What the Snapshot isn’t

  • It isn’t a full audit, and it doesn’t give your site a score.
  • It doesn’t make claims about your rankings, traffic, conversion rate or revenue.
  • It doesn’t assume anything about how your business operates behind the website.
  • It isn’t a sales pitch dressed up as a report.

What happens next

You get the five observations in a short written summary. If they’re useful, we’re happy to talk them through in a 15-minute conversation and hear how they compare with what you see day to day. If they aren’t, that’s the end of it — the Snapshot is yours to keep.
